Article I
General Provisions
1.1 · League Name
The league shall be known as the LA Shit Talkers Fantasy Football League (the “League”).
1.2 · Purpose and Scope
These public bylaws establish the League’s rules for keeper eligibility, keeper costs and terms, player and draft-pick trades, and administration of the 2026 draft. Platform settings and other rules not addressed here remain unchanged unless approved by the League.
1.3 · Commissioner Administration
The commissioner shall administer keeper declarations, confirm keeper eligibility, review trades, maintain future draft-pick records, and apply these bylaws consistently.
Article III
Keeper Rules
3.1 · Optional Keeper
Each manager may keep one player from the prior season. Selecting a keeper is optional. A free-agent or waiver-wire keeper counts as the manager’s one permitted keeper.
3.2 · Keeper Term and History
An eligible player may be kept for up to two additional seasons after the player’s original draft or acquisition season. The original season is not counted as one of the two additional keeper seasons. Prior keeper seasons remain part of the player’s history. Trading, dropping, or reacquiring a player does not reset that history or the keeper-term limit.
3.3 · Eligibility of Drafted Players
A player originally drafted after the first round is keeper eligible. A drafted player who is not dropped must remain continuously rostered by one or more League teams through the end of the fantasy season.
3.4 · Free Agents and Waiver Claims
Beginning with the 2027 season, a qualifying player acquired through free agency or the waiver wire may be kept. The player must be acquired on or before the League trade deadline and remain continuously on the acquiring manager’s roster through the end of the fantasy season.
3.5 · Trades and Roster Moves
Until the League formally votes otherwise, keeper history and remaining keeper term follow the player. Keeper eligibility transfers to the acquiring manager when an eligible player is traded.
3.6 · Keeper Cost
A player’s first keeper cost matches the round in which that player was drafted the previous year. If the same player is kept again, the cost moves one round earlier. An originally undrafted player begins with a 12th-round keeper cost. A drafted player later acquired through free agency or waivers by a different manager begins with a 12th-round keeper cost; if reacquired by the same manager who dropped the player, the original draft-round cost applies for the first keeper season.
3.7 · Required Draft Pick
A manager may not select a player as a keeper if the draft pick required for that keeper has already been traded.
3.8 · Keeper Declaration
Managers must report their keeper by the announced annual deadline. The commissioner will share the keeper list and remove those players from the available draft pool before the draft order is selected.
Article IV
Trades Involving Draft Picks
4.1 · Permitted Draft-Pick Trades
Beginning with the 2026 season, managers may include draft picks in trades. A manager may trade a player for one or more picks in the immediately following year’s draft. Picks from later draft years may not be traded.
4.2 · Trade Deadline
Trades involving future draft picks are subject to the same League trade deadline that applies to standard player trades.
4.3 · Finality and Administration
Once approved by the commissioner, a future-pick trade is final. The commissioner shall record the transaction and exchange the agreed-upon picks before the following season’s draft.
